Vocational Service Project (Flower Arrangement and Perfume Making Workshop)

On September 5, 2026, at 9:00 AM, the Rotary Club of Diliman International, Rotary Club of Diliman Central, Rotary Club of Quezon City International, and Barangay Fairview, successfully conducted a Vocational Training on Flower Arrangement and Perfume Making at Barangay Fairview Hall, Fairview, Quezon City.

"Tulong sa Pangkabuhayan, Tulong sa Kinabukasan" was launched toEmpower Communities through Skills andLivelihood Opportunities.. The activity aimed to equip community members with practical and income-generating skills that can be utilized for personal development and small business opportunities.

The three Rotary Clubs engaged an expert trainer to conduct the workshop, with the assistance of Barangay Fairview officials. A total of 100 participants from Barangay Fairview actively joined the training. Participants received hands-on instruction on the fundamentals of flower arrangement and perfume making, learning essential techniques, materials, and simple methods that can help them establish their own livelihood ventures.

To encourage continued learning and application of the skills acquired, free perfume samples and workshop materials were distributed to all participants. The event also provided an opportunity for community interaction, collaboration, and empowerment through shared learning experiences.

As part of the program, participants were served Jollibee food packs after the training, creating a warm and enjoyable atmosphere that fostered fellowship and community spirit. The smiles and enthusiasm of the attendees reflected the success of the training and the positive impact it had on the community. This project highlights Rotary’s commitment to Community Economic Development, one of Rotary International’s Areas of Focus, by providing vocational skills training that can improve livelihoods and create sustainable opportunities for individuals and families.
